Victorian 14k Onyx Drop Earrings

A dainty pair of onyx earrings from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 14k yellow gold, each earring begins with an inverted teardrop-shaped surmount. The surmount is decorated with texturizing engravings, which add a wonderful look to the earrings. The earrings then feature a long, teardrop-shaped onyx plaque, which wonderfully contrasts the yellow gold setting. The onyx plaque features an overlaid teardrop-shaped gold plaque, which incorporates complementary engravings to the surmount. The earrings are completed by solid gold posts and friction backs, which are marked "D&B 14K". A timeless pair, these earrings would blend seamlessly into any antique jewelry collection!
